What will happen next - Big platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X have not completed the listing process even after the deadline given by the government to list social media in Nepal.
The Nepal government had issued a notification on Bhadra 12, directing them to come on the list within a week, and also warned of gradual closure if they were not complied with in time.
But even after the deadline, these social media platforms are still operating without being closed. Minister for Communications and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung said that the Council of Ministers has decided to move forward accordingly.
