Chandrakuber Khapung appointed as the 32nd Inspector General (IGP) of Nepal Police
Chandrakuber Khapung, who was appointed as the 32nd Inspector General (IGP) of Nepal Police, has reached the pinnacle of success today. However, his police career began with the insistence and encouragement of his friends rather than his own desire. But his desire was to get a government job. According to Khapung's friends, he initially did not think of joining the police service. "It was understood that there would be no inspector without a source force. How could we, the people of the village, become inspectors? We do not even have a source force," Khapung would say. His friends Buddhiraj Gurung and Bishnukumar KC, however, refused to give up. "There is a 10-15 percent chance of passing, but even if not, it is an experience," they both went home and urged him to fill out the form. After KC and Gurung said so, Khapung also went to the police headquarters and got ready to fill out the form in Mangsir 2050 BS. All three of them filled out the inspector's form. Finally, due to their continuous pressure and trust, Khapung applied and the three of them selected his name. That one friend's decision changed the direction of his life. The journey that began with entering the ordinary police service has now reached the highest leadership of the Nepal Police.
